I realised a few months ago that I’ve been spending money (automatic payments) for services I don’t really use, are over priced compared to free options, and/or don’t provide real value in my hobby experience.

Ive been paying for a shop-front that I don’t really add to that often, at a cost that eats nearly half my budget, added to which this is a service (for a much lower charge) that Wargaming 3D offers, or hopefully will continue to offer once their buy-out business is sorted.

I pay for this blog, and while the cost is quite minimal, I realised that since I’m operating with a yearly fixed budget, that the money spent would better serve my hobby interests elsewhere. I also am aware that this host also has a free option, but other options offer a little more for the same price. On top of this something has gone wrong with the site and its categories so a fresh start and dollars in the pocket equals a hobby win.

So I am moving to an all new space, with a new title and which after an initial flurry of posts will probably settle into a likewise dearth of posts and content. Which I will then conveniently blame on procrastination and distraction. But at least it will be free and the money saved will go to supporting my “lead-pile”.
